Fund Ed Freedom
A national resource for
educational opportunity

Our purpose & approach

Opportunity deserves a careful conversation.

Fund Ed Freedom is a national education funding awareness, news, and advocacy resource. We support expanding educational opportunity.

Useful across the ecosystem

Our initial focus is the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit. We follow national developments, federal and state implementation, education innovation, and documented progress.

We support wider access to educational opportunity and examine both possibilities and limitations. That perspective does not settle questions about a policy’s design, costs, implementation, or outcomes.

This resource is for people across school settings, beliefs, and affiliations, including people who never become donors or partners of an organization connected to us.

How we select and explain sources

Start with evidence

For requirements, we prioritize the law and official IRS, Treasury, and state materials. For context, we consider original reporting, research, analysis, and documented experiences. We assess advocacy sources by their evidence and identify their perspective.

Make the source and status visible

Each curated entry names its publisher, links to the original, and separates the source’s publication date from our review date. We label our own summaries and explain why an item matters, along with material limitations.

Reporting, official guidance, research, analysis, opinion, and community experience are distinct source types. A label describes the kind of material; it does not guarantee accuracy.

Be specific about outcomes

We distinguish measured outcomes from projections, anecdotes, and self-reported results. An organizational claim remains a claim unless supporting evidence warrants a stronger conclusion. We link to original work and write summaries in our own words.

Cover substance, not promotion

Routine SGO platform marketing, sales pitches, and product announcements do not qualify on their own. A company’s work can merit coverage when it represents a meaningful, evidenced development. Connections to us do not earn preferential coverage.

Review before adding

This first version is manually curated. New entries should have their source, dates, factual claims, limitations, and relevant relationships checked before publication. There is no automated publishing feed.

Corrections and updates

When a material error is confirmed, we will correct it and add a dated note explaining what changed. New developments will be identified as updates. Our review date will change only after a substantive source check.

To flag a possible error, share the page, disputed statement, and supporting source in r/FundEdFreedom. A dedicated editorial contact has not yet been connected. Do not share private tax or student records.

No corrections have been recorded yet.

Our relationship to Anchored Arrows

Fund Ed Freedom was created by Jonny Coreson, founder of Anchored Arrows.

Fund Ed Freedom supports the broader ecosystem through education, reporting, and discussion. Anchored Arrows is a scholarship organization that provides a specific way to participate through its scholarship work.

That connection is relevant context for readers. It is not a reason to favor Anchored Arrows in our coverage or suggest it is the only organization people can work with. When we cover connected organizations, we will disclose the relationship beside the coverage.
